I want to belive, that this is a product sollely done for his filming carrier, but in a time when California tryes so strictly to promote herself as a leading country in United States, in banning and restricting access to smokers, we come to a point where our leader is a film/smoking/macho icon and idol of our children..
So I come to the point where I also want to make a glimpse look at Arnold as...
SMOKING icon...
As a famous person during his film carrier, Arnold had come very often with a reporters and photographs that wanted to make a close look at his life, behaviour and everyday habbits, as it is naturall (and part of his job description) for a profession like acting.
Beeing alredy muscular and bulky guy, Arnold, i bellive came to an idea of promoting "an Ideal American man" - that consist, оf course of a big cars, strength, coll guy, and in that time SMOKING - (something like Marllboro cowboy in the early times).
Don't forget that that was the 80's and smoking was not big of a social and health problem like it was today.. No, it was a common thing that happened all around us and noone really talked about it seriosly (or we can say that the Tobacco companies didn't was us to talk about it - but that's really a different topic to discuss)
But now the things has changed... Two guys bellow, are only thing of a past..
Muscular body, and an "American" way of living are passing idols that represent some "good old days".
In the days where recession, chrisis, financial lost, green living are the main topics to discus.. These guy are only dinosaurus from the past.

Solution: Stop acting Arnold, as a PR mascot of some past times, stop smoiking in public, and be one more time, a role model of a California yuth.. You are the governor of one of the most welthies and famous countries in the world, so stand for it, and become a first example of how we should respect the laws in California (in this case the smoking law).
